Truman Adams Truman Adams is a Sarasota-based professional muralist and fine artist whose work blends realism, surrealism, and immersive 3D illusion. He creates visually striking, interactive environments across public, commercial, and residential spaces, with a focus on large-scale murals, anamorphic street art, and paintings on canvas. Truman has been featured in festivals and public art programs both nationally and internationally. His most recent public works include Amphitrite (2024), the first completed mural in Sarasota’s Florida Legacy Mural Series, and Niche ArT (2026), a major city commission he was selected for through a national call with 133 submissions, recognized for its innovation and strong community engagement.
How To Commission A Project
When pricing a mural or custom piece, I consider several factors — including square footage, estimated time to complete, level of detail, equipment needs, and travel distance.
To provide an exact quote, I’ll need:
- A photo of the wall from the main viewpoint
- Height and width
- A description of the concept or theme
- Project location

My average rate is $35 per square foot, with a $1,000 minimum for single-day projects. Final pricing may vary depending on complexity, scale, travel distance, site conditions, and lift or access requirements.
A 50% deposit is required to begin scheduling and design.
For clients who would like to explore ideas before committing, I offer a $1,000 design fee option. This includes one round of design concepts with up to three options, allowing you to visualize the artwork in your space. If you move forward with the project, the design fee is credited toward your project deposit. Design options can also be tailored to accommodate different budgets and project scopes if requested.
